After years of dreaming, a prairie at the end of Floral Ave has been planted! There are 11 varieties of native plants; wish them good rooting and successful growing.

Thanks to our resident and former MetroParks Conservation Manager, Prairie Mary, for her knowledge and mentorship, and a small group of other neighbors and their friends who helped plant 100 plants in this new urban prairie after 6 months of space prep by the couple who spearheaded the project. Their hard work included countless hours laying cardboard boxes to suppress weeds, layering composted leaves and mulch, and tearing out honeysuckle and invasive grasses. #teamworkmakesthedreamwork
